In a faraway kingdom, an overbearing queen mother has declared that no one may marry until her daunted son finds a bride—one who can pass an impossible royal test concocted by the queen and her faithful wizard.  The arrival of the unconventional Princess Winnifred turns the castle upside down as she charms everyone except the queen and teaches everyone a lesson in courage, compassion and love. With catchy songs, hilarious hijinks, and a touch of fairy-tale magic, this youth-friendly version of the show is perfect for audiences of all ages.

The show was directed by award-winning director Fred Zirm, who returned to Arts on the Green for his 50th year of directing youth theatre and his 9th at the Arts Barn.  "First, this show is pure escapism - a fun show that audiences of all ages will enjoy.  Importantly, these opportunities are so important to the next generation of artists, and I’m honored to be a part of their journeys.
